About Hannah Nii
Hannah Nii is an artist from Fresno, California. Starting at the age of two, Hannah spent 16 years training at The Dance Studio of Fresno under the direction of Sue Sampson-Dalena. In addition to the in-house faculty, she was mentored by many well-established artists, such as Mia Michaels, Peter Chu, Al Blackstone, Francisco Gella, Andrew Winghart, Stacey Tookey. In 2016 and 2017, she had to opportunity to dance abroad, including Costa Rica to be an ambassador for the Ballet+ program, Calgary for Camp Protege, and Austria for the Young Tanzsommer Dance Festival.
At age 17, Hannah moved to New York City to attend Marymount Manhattan College. There, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance and double concentrated in Modern Dance and Choreography (2022). She was also awarded with the Certificate of Excellence for her Minor in Communication and Media. During her time at Marymount, she worked with artists such as Larry Keigwin, Anthony Morigerato, Christian Von Howard, and Sekou McMiller. Hannah also created and presented various works for the Dancers at Work student choreography shows. In addition to her performances and choreographic projects, she remained active in school leadership as the President of the (r)Evolution club at Marymount, which focused on advocating and creating space for representation and diversity in the dance community.
in 2022, Hannah began performing with Suzzanne Ponomarenko Dance. During her time with the company, she performed “Dyadic::al” and “Enjoy Yourself!” These works were presented at Arts on Site, Alpha Omega Dance theatrical, Jacob’s Pillow on the Road, and Atlas Performing Arts Center.
Currently, Hannah is a dancer for Disney Cruise Line. She has performed aboard the Disney Dream and the Disney Wish in shows such as The Golden Mickey’s, Believe, Seas the Adventure, Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party, Set Sail on a Wish, Sailing Away, and more.
